Very good advise. I have a friend who just started a biz. I’ll have to send him this list. My friend biz is struggling because he didn’t do this: “You should be able to test the demand for your product prior to launch.”

The hardest rule to follow is to create a business that can be launched quickly and inexpensively -that rules out bricks and mortar, in most cases. If you violate that rule, then another comes into play – don’t bring in investors who do not share your passion and vision. If you do, you could end up writing a book.

Great post. Your ideas are very practical and very true. You really do have to use your creativity to SOLVE a problem, and from there you can generate revenue after setting up and developing a business model and doing a bit of marketing.

There is always a market if there’s a common problem to be solved.
